Risk allocation for Air Traffic Management following ESARR4

ESARR4 requires risk allocation of the target safety level in Air Traffic Management. Peter Bishop and Meine van der Meulen engaged in a research project for the UK Civil Aviation Authority to explore how this risk allocation could best be done.

Meine van der Meulen's contribution involved the analysis of many thousands of incident reports. The risk allocation approach was heavily influenced by his experiences in writing the Safety Requirements Specification for the high speed train link.
